Who controls your data?

TwigTech Ltd is the data controller for customer information we collect to operate the online shop. Contact hello@twigtech.uk about data protection or rights requests.

What we collect

We collect names, contact details, delivery/billing information, ordered products, selected options, personalisation text, transaction references, fulfilment details, support messages, and necessary security logs. Payment card details are entered into Stripe Checkout, not stored as raw card numbers on TwigTech's server.

Why and lawful basis

We use order, contact and delivery information to process orders, take payment, send order updates, ship goods, handle returns and provide support under our contract with you. We retain transaction and financial records where required by law (legal obligation). We use proportionate security and fraud-prevention logs for legitimate interests in protecting the store and customers. Marketing emails, if introduced, will require a separate legal assessment and appropriate opt-in/opt-out controls.

Who receives information?

Our providers may include Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional emails), Royal Mail and other shipping/customs partners, and our infrastructure hosting services. We share only data needed for these purposes. International shipping can require customs declarations and transfer of delivery information abroad; provider safeguards and transfer arrangements must be reviewed before live launch.

Storage and retention

Order and fulfilment information is stored in a self-hosted database and backups. Current intended retention policy: not yet confirmed — must be documented before live orders. Data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations and necessary records of disputes.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing and to data portability. Contact us to make a request. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

The store uses essential basket/session technology and may use security cookies. We must review whether any optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are used and obtain consent where legally required before deploying them.
